Traditional American Thanksgiving feast
Ingrédients
- Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 lbs)
- Butter – 1 cup, softened
- Salt – 2 tbsp
- Pepper – 1 tsp
- Garlic powder – 1 tsp
- Onion powder – 1 tsp
- Stuffing – 1 box (14 oz)
- Chicken broth – 2 cups
- Green beans – 1 lb
- Cranberry sauce – 1 can
- Pumpkin pie – 1 (9-inch)
- Whipped cream – for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the turkey by rubbing it with butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Stuff the turkey with prepared stuffing.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast for approximately 3-4 hours, basting occasionally.
- Cook the green beans in boiling water for 5-7 minutes.
- Heat the cranberry sauce in a small saucepan.
- Serve the turkey with green beans, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie topped with whipped cream.
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving.
- Save the turkey drippings for gravy.
