Description
A traditional Amish dessert that features a creamy custard baked to perfection.
Ingrédients

- 4 cups milk
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until well combined.
- Add the milk, vanilla extract, salt, and nutmeg to the egg mixture. Stir until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the custard is set and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm or chilled.
- Can be topped with whipped cream or fruit.
