- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup diced apples
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup apple cider (for glaze)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the diced apples.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture alternately with the milk.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake cools, make the glaze by whisking together apple cider and powdered sugar.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake before serving.

- Use tart apples for better flavor.
