Description
Bavarian cream custard is a rich and creamy dessert made with eggs, cream, and flavored with vanilla.
Ingrédients

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large egg yolks
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon gelatin
- 3 tablespoons cold water
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, and half of the cream. Heat until warm.
- In a bowl, whisk egg yolks. Gradually add warm milk mixture to yolks, whisking constantly.
- Return mixture to saucepan and cook over low heat until thickened.
- Dissolve gelatin in cold water and add to the custard mixture.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Let the mixture cool, then fold in the remaining whipped cream.
- Pour into molds and refrigerate until set.
- Serve chilled.
Notes
- Make sure the gelatin is fully dissolved.
- Use high-quality vanilla for better flavor.
- Chill the custard for at least 4 hours before serving.
