Description

A classic beef Wellington features tender beef wrapped in pastry with mushrooms and pâté.


Ingrédients

  • 8 oz mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 4 oz pâté
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the beef with salt and pepper.
  3. In a pan, heat olive oil and sear the beef on all sides. Remove and let cool.
  4. In the same pan, cook the mushrooms until moisture evaporates. Let cool.
  5. Spread pâté over beef, then top with mushrooms.
  6. Wrap beef in puff pastry and seal edges.
  7. Brush with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let rest before slicing.
