Description
A classic Beef Wellington recipe featuring tender beef wrapped in flaky pastry.
Ingrédients

- 1.5 lbs beef tenderloin
- 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
- 4 slices prosciutto
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the beef tenderloin with salt and pepper.
- Sear the beef in a hot pan for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Remove the beef and let it cool.
- In the same pan, cook the mushrooms until dry and let cool.
- Spread Dijon mustard over the beef.
- Wrap the beef with prosciutto and mushrooms.
- Roll out the puff pastry and wrap the beef tightly.
- Brush the pastry with beaten egg.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Let the Beef Wellington rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with a red wine sauce for added flavor.
