Ingrédients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 3 potatoes, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Add beef and brown on all sides.
  3. Remove beef and set aside.
  4. Add onion and garlic to the pot, sauté until soft.
  5. Add carrots and potatoes, cooking for a few more minutes.
  6. Return beef to the pot.
  7. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  8. Stir in thyme, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
  9. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
  10. Cover and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours until beef is tender.
