- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups apple slices
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add chilled butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in lemon juice and cold water until dough forms.
- Roll out the dough and fit it into pie pans.
- For pumpkin pie, blend pumpkin puree, brown sugar, spices, eggs, and cream.
- Pour pumpkin mixture into one pie crust.
- For apple pie, mix apple slices, sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
- Pour apple mixture into the second pie crust.
- Bake both pies for 15 minutes at 425°F, then reduce to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-40 minutes.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh pumpkin for better flavor.
- Let pies cool completely for best texture.
- Serve with whipped cream.
