Description
A hearty dish combining black beans, rice, and sausage.

- 1 cup black beans, soaked overnight
- 1 cup rice
- 2 sausages, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse and drain the soaked black beans.
- In a pot, sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Add sausage and cook until browned.
- Stir in black beans, rice, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can use any type of sausage.
- Adjust spices according to your taste.
- Serve with fresh cilantro or lime if desired.
