A simple and flavorful black eyed peas recipe made in a crock pot.
Ingrédients

- 2 cups dried black eyed peas
- 6 cups vegetable broth
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
- Rinse black eyed peas under cold water.
- Combine all ingredients in the crock pot.
- Stir well to mix everything.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until peas are tender.
- Remove bay leaf before serving.
Notes
- Soaking peas overnight is optional.
- Adjust seasoning to your preference.
- Serve with cornbread for a complete meal.
