Description
A classic dessert made with layers of bread soaked in a rich custard.
Ingrédients

- 4 slices of bread
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 cups of milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
- Raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Butter the slices of bread on both sides.
- Cut the bread into triangles.
- Arrange the bread in a baking dish.
- Sprinkle raisins between the layers (if using).
- In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Pour the custard mixture over the bread.
- Let it soak for 15 minutes.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use stale bread for better texture.
- Can add nutmeg for extra flavor.
- Serve with cream or ice cream.
