Ingrédients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup fruit jam or filling of your choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mix well.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until combined.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Cut the dough into rectangles.
  7. Place a small amount of fruit jam on half of the rectangles.
  8. Top with remaining rectangles and seal the edges.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let cool before serving.

  • Use any fruit jam you like for the filling.
  • Store in an airtight container.
