A flavorful twist on traditional Thanksgiving turkey with Cajun spices.
Ingrédients

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 1/4 cup Cajun seasoning
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 onions, quartered
- 4 celery stalks, chopped
- 4 carrots, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a bowl, mix Cajun seasoning, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the mixture all over the turkey.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan with onions, celery, and carrots.
- Pour chicken broth into the pan.
- Cover with foil and roast for 2 hours.
- Remove the foil and roast for an additional 1-1.5 hours until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Adjust spice level by modifying the amount of cayenne pepper.
- Use fresh herbs for added flavor.
- Make sure to baste the turkey every 30 minutes.
