Description

Ingrédients

  • 2 lbs flank steak
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 cup tomatillos, husked and chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and chopped

Instructions

  1. Marinate the flank steak in olive oil, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper for at least 1 hour.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  3. Grill the flank steak for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
  4. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  5. In a blender, combine avocados, tomatillos, cilantro, lime juice, and jalapeño. Blend until smooth.
  6. Serve sliced steak topped with avocado salsa verde.

Notes

  • Adjust spice level by adding more or less jalapeño.
  • Can substitute flank steak with skirt steak if preferred.
