Description
A traditional Thanksgiving dinner featuring classic dishes.
Ingrédients
- Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 lbs)
- Salt – 2 tbsp
- Pepper – 1 tbsp
- Butter – 1 cup
- Onion – 1 large, chopped
- Celery – 2 stalks, chopped
- Carrots – 2, chopped
- Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- Thyme – 1 tbsp, fresh
- Rosemary – 1 tbsp, fresh
- Stuffing – 1 box (about 12 oz)
- Chicken broth – 4 cups
- Cranberry sauce – 1 can
- Mashed potatoes – 4 cups (prepared)
- Green beans – 1 lb
- Pumpkin pie – 1, for dessert
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and patting it dry.
- Season the turkey with salt and pepper.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté onion, celery, carrots, and garlic until soft.
- Add fresh herbs and stuffing to the vegetable mixture.
- Moisten with chicken broth and mix well.
- Stuff the turkey with the stuffing mixture.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast for about 3 hours, removing foil for the last 30 minutes to brown.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Let rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Serve with cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and green beans.

- Ensure the turkey is fully thawed before cooking.
- Adjust seasoning as per your taste.
- Use leftover turkey for sandwiches.
