Description

Cheesy Mississippi Mud Potatoes are a rich and savory side dish that combines creamy potatoes with cheese and spices.

  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of sour cream
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1 packet of ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup of cooked bacon bits
  • 1/4 cup of chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and dice the potatoes into small pieces.
  3. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  4. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  5. Add sour cream, milk, ranch dressing mix, and half of the cheese to the potatoes.
  6. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
  7. Stir in bacon bits and green onions.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
  9. Top with the remaining cheese.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
