  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Stir in the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  7. Layer half of the potato slices in the baking dish.
  8. Pour half of the cheese sauce over the potatoes.
  9. Repeat with remaining potatoes and sauce.
  10. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  11. Bake for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
