- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted

- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 pie crust, unbaked
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine cherries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla, and salt.
- Pour the cherry mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
- Cover the pie with a top crust or lattice.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the crust is golden and filling is bubbly.
- Let it cool before serving.

- Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
