Instructions

  1. In a large pot, add chicken pieces and cover with chicken broth.

  3. Add carrots, celery, and onion to the pot. Cook until tender.
  4. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dumpling batter into the simmering pot.
  7. Cover and cook for 15 minutes without lifting the lid.
  8. Check that dumplings are cooked through before serving.
