Description
A traditional dish enjoyed during Chinese New Year celebrations.
Ingrédients

- 2 cups of glutinous rice
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of red bean paste
- 1/4 cup of dried fruits (apricots, raisins)
- 1/4 cup of nuts (walnuts, almonds)
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
Instructions
- Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Drain the rice and mix it with water in a steamer.
- Steam the rice for about 30 minutes until it is translucent.
- In a bowl, combine the red bean paste, dried fruits, nuts, sugar, and vanilla extract.
- Mix the steamed rice with the filling mixture.
- Shape the mixture into small cakes or balls.
- Steam the cakes for an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
