Description

Ingrédients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 5 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a saucepan, heat cream, milk, and chocolate over medium heat until chocolate melts.
  3. Whisk egg yolks and sugar in a bowl until pale.
  4. Slowly pour the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring constantly.
  5. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  6. Pour the mixture into ramekins.
  7. Place the ramekins in a baking dish and add hot water to the dish.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until set.
  9. Cool and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  10. Before serving, sprinkle sugar on top and caramelize with a torch.
