  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir until the mixture is smooth and bubbling.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over the saltine crackers, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let them sit for a few minutes to melt.
  7. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the crackers.
  8. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.
  9. Let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
