- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 package saltine crackers (about 40 crackers)
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir until the mixture is smooth and bubbling.
- Pour the butter mixture over the saltine crackers, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let them sit for a few minutes to melt.
- Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the crackers.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.
- Let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
