A delicious and festive treat combining toffee with Christmas crackers.
Ingrédients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 package saltine crackers (about 40 crackers)
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil.
- Pour the toffee mixture over the saltine crackers, spreading evenly.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Let the chocolate sit for a few minutes, then spread it evenly.
- If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
- Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- For a festive touch, use colored chocolate melts.
