Description

A classic roast turkey with all the trimmings for a festive Christmas dinner.


Ingrédients

  • 1 whole turkey (1214 lbs)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 4 cups stuffing mix
  • 2 cups celery, chopped
  • 2 cups onion, chopped
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Remove giblets from turkey cavity and pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub the turkey with softened butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Stuff the turkey with the stuffing mix, celery, and onion.
  5. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth around it.
  6. Cover the turkey with aluminum foil and roast for 2 to 2.5 hours.
  7. Remove the foil and roast for an additional 30-60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
  9. Serve with cranberry sauce on the side.
