- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 4 cups stuffing
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the stuffing by mixing the bread cubes, onion, carrots, celery, thyme, rosemary, and chicken broth.
- Stuff the turkey with the prepared stuffing.
- Rub the turkey with melted butter, salt, and pepper.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast for 2.5 to 3 hours, removing the foil for the last 30 minutes.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Use fresh herbs for better flavor.
- Make sure the turkey is fully thawed before cooking.
- Save the drippings for gravy.
