  • 1 whole turkey (1214 lbs)
  • 4 cups stuffing
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the stuffing by mixing the bread cubes, onion, carrots, celery, thyme, rosemary, and chicken broth.
  3. Stuff the turkey with the prepared stuffing.
  4. Rub the turkey with melted butter, salt, and pepper.
  5. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
  6. Roast for 2.5 to 3 hours, removing the foil for the last 30 minutes.
  7. Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
