  • 1 whole turkey (1214 lbs)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups stuffing mix
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 pumpkin pie

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and rinsing it under cold water.
  3. Rub the turkey with softened butter, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff the turkey with stuffing mix and secure the opening.
  5. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth around it.
  6. Cover with foil and roast in the oven for 3-4 hours, basting occasionally.
  7. In the last 30 minutes, remove the foil to brown the skin.
  8. Cook green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes and drain.
  9. Serve the turkey with cranberry sauce and green beans.
  10. Enjoy pumpkin pie for dessert.
