Instructions

  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring continuously.
  5. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and vanilla extract.
  6. Stir until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
  7. If using, fold in chopped nuts.
  8. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
