Description

Ingrédients

  • 1 whole goose (about 1012 pounds)
  • 2 apples, quartered
  • 2 onions, quartered
  • 1 orange, quartered
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Clean the goose and remove any excess fat.
  3. Season the inside and outside of the goose with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  4. Stuff the cavity with apples, onions, and orange.
  5. Place the goose on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.
  6. Pour chicken broth into the pan.
  7. Roast for about 2-2.5 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
  8. Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
  9. Let it rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.

  • Use a meat thermometer for accurate cooking.
