Instructions

  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Mix in vanilla extract.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
  8. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks.
  11. Decorate with frosting and sprinkles before serving.
