- 4 cups stuffing
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 carrots, chopped
- 4 parsnips, chopped
- 1 onion, quartered
- 2 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the turkey by seasoning it inside and out with salt, pepper, and herbs.
- Stuff the turkey with stuffing.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and surround it with carrots, parsnips, and onion.
- Melt butter and drizzle it over the turkey and vegetables.
- Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
- Roast the turkey for about 3 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Serve with gravy and your choice of sides.
