  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups bread cubes
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 2 teaspoons dried sage
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and patting it dry.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onion and celery until soft.
  4. In a bowl, combine bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stuff the turkey with the bread mixture.
  6. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth around it.
  7. Cover the turkey with aluminum foil and roast for 3 to 4 hours.
  8. Remove foil in the last hour to brown the skin.
  9. Check the internal temperature to ensure it reaches 165°F (75°C).
  10. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
