Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar, salt, and water.
  4. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the mixture reaches a boil.
  5. Continue boiling for about 8-10 minutes until it turns a golden brown color.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  7. Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly.
  8. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee.
  9. Let the chocolate melt, then spread it evenly.
  10. Top with chopped nuts and press them lightly into the chocolate.
  11. Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
