Description
A festive and delicious Christmas trifle layered with cake, custard, fruit, and whipped cream.
Ingrédients

- 1 pound sponge cake, cut into cubes
- 2 cups mixed berries
- 1 cup custard
- 2 cups whipped cream
- 1/2 cup sherry or fruit juice
- 1/4 cup chocolate shavings (optional)
Instructions
- Layer half of the sponge cake cubes at the bottom of a trifle dish.
- Drizzle with half of the sherry or fruit juice.
- Add half of the mixed berries on top.
- Spread half of the custard over the berries.
- Add half of the whipped cream on top of the custard.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Top with chocolate shavings if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use seasonal fruits for variety.
- Can be made a day in advance.
- Adjust sweetness based on your preference.
