Description

Cinnamon Crunch Knots are sweet, twisted pastries coated in cinnamon sugar.


Ingrédients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour. Knead until smooth.
  4. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Roll out dough and cut into strips.
  7. Twist each strip and form into knots.
  8. Mix sugar and cinnamon. Coat knots in the mixture.
  9. Place knots on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  10. Mix powdered sugar and milk for glaze. Drizzle over knots.
