A rich and savory classic homemade bolognese sauce.
Ingrédients

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 500g ground beef
- 200ml red wine
- 400g canned tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Cook until softened.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Pour in red wine and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Add canned tomatoes and tomato paste. Mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer on low heat for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
Notes
- This sauce can be made ahead and frozen for later use.
- Serve with pasta for a classic meal.
