Ingrédients

  • 1 cup of heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup of cornflour
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and line a baking dish.
  3. Bake the pastry for 15 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In a saucepan, heat milk and cream together.
  5. In a bowl, whisk sugar, cornflour, and egg yolks.
  6. Slowly add hot milk mixture to the egg mixture, stirring constantly.
  7. Return mixture to the saucepan and cook until thickened.
  8. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  9. Pour custard over baked pastry and let it set.
  10. Top with another layer of pastry and chill before serving.
