Description

  • 3 large egg whites

  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz dark chocolate

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, sift almond flour and powdered sugar together.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  4. Mix in instant coffee.
  5. Fold in the almond flour mixture gently.
  6. Pipe small circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Let the macarons rest for 30 minutes to form a skin.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until set.
  9. For the filling, heat heavy cream and pour over chopped dark chocolate; stir until smooth.
  10. Let the ganache cool, then pipe it onto half of the macaron shells and sandwich with the other halves.
