  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  4. Add flour, salt, pepper, and paprika; stir for 2 minutes.
  5. Gradually whisk in milk; cook until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in 3 cups of cheese until melted.
  7. Add cooked macaroni to cheese sauce; mix well.
  8. Transfer to a baking dish and top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
