Description
Crispy homemade falafel made from chickpeas and spices.
Ingrédients

- 1 cup dried chickpeas
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Soak chickpeas in water overnight.
- Drain and rinse the chickpeas.
- In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, baking soda, and salt.
- Process until the mixture is coarse but holds together.
- Form the mixture into small balls or patties.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Fry the falafel until golden brown on all sides.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
Notes
- Serve with tahini sauce or in pita bread.
- Can be baked for a healthier option.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
