Description
A comforting dish of chicken and dumplings cooked slowly in a crockpot.
Ingrédients

- 2 pounds of boneless chicken breast
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 1 cup of diced carrots
- 1 cup of diced celery
- 1 cup of frozen peas
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough
Instructions
- Place chicken in the crockpot.
- Add chicken broth, carrots, celery, peas, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Shred the chicken and return it to the pot.
- Cut biscuit dough into quarters and add to the crockpot.
- Cook for an additional 30 minutes until dumplings are cooked through.
Notes
- Can substitute chicken with turkey.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Add herbs like thyme or rosemary for extra flavor.
