Ingrédients

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Add the cubed bread and raisins. Stir to combine.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes until set and golden.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare the vanilla sauce.
  7. In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch until thickened.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract.
  9. Serve the bread pudding warm with vanilla sauce drizzled on top.
