Description
A delicious custard bread pudding served with a creamy vanilla sauce.
Ingrédients

- 4 cups of cubed bread
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 cup of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the cubed bread and raisins. Stir to combine.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until set and golden.
- Meanwhile, prepare the vanilla sauce.
- In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract.
- Serve the bread pudding warm with vanilla sauce drizzled on top.
Notes
- Use day-old bread for best results.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
