Description

A comforting dish filled with chicken and vegetables in a creamy sauce, all encased in a flaky pie crust.


Ingrédients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a pot, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add onion and cook until translucent.
  4. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually add chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly.
  6. Cook until the mixture thickens.
  7. Add chicken, carrots, peas, potatoes, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  8. Pour the mixture into a pie crust.
  9. Cover with another pie crust and seal the edges.
  10. Cut slits in the top crust for steam to escape.
  11. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • Let the pie cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  • You can use leftover chicken for a quicker prep.
  • Add more vegetables as per your preference.
