Description
This easy cream puff cake is a delightful dessert made with layers of cream puffs and a rich custard filling.

- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a saucepan, combine water and butter, and bring to a boil.
- Add flour all at once and stir until the mixture forms a ball.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool and then fill with whipped cream mixed with powdered sugar and vanilla.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Can be made a day ahead.
- Use different flavors for the filling if desired.
