Description
This easy discard banana bread is a delicious way to use overripe bananas and sourdough starter.
Ingrédients

- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix mashed bananas and sourdough starter.
- Add sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- In another bowl, combine baking soda, salt, and flour.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir until combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
- Add nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
- Best served warm with butter.
