  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup molasses

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
  4. Add egg and molasses; mix well.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients; mix until combined.
  6. Roll dough into balls and place on baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Let cool on wire rack.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container.
  • You can decorate with icing if desired.
