Description

A simple and flavorful jambalaya recipe that combines rice, meat, and spices.


Ingrédients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups long-grain rice
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken and sausage. Cook until browned.
  3. Add onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic. Sauté until softened.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes and Cajun seasoning.
  5. Add rice and chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  7. Add shrimp and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Fluff with a fork and serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust spiciness by adding more or less Cajun seasoning.
  • Use any combination of proteins you prefer.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
