  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar until creamy.
  2. Heat milk in a saucepan and stir into the egg mixture.
  3. Cook over low heat until thickened, then cool.
  4. In another bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold mascarpone cheese into the cooled egg mixture.
  6. Gently mix in whipped cream.
  7. Combine espresso and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
  8. Dip ladyfingers briefly in the coffee mixture.
  9. Layer dipped ladyfingers in a dish, then spread mascarpone mixture on top.
  10. Repeat layers until ingredients are used.
  11. Chill for at least 4 hours.
  12. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
