- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
- 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup brewed espresso, cooled
- 1/4 cup coffee liqueur
- 24 ladyfinger cookies
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar until creamy.
- Heat milk in a saucepan and stir into the egg mixture.
- Cook over low heat until thickened, then cool.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Fold mascarpone cheese into the cooled egg mixture.
- Gently mix in whipped cream.
- Combine espresso and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
- Dip ladyfingers briefly in the coffee mixture.
- Layer dipped ladyfingers in a dish, then spread mascarpone mixture on top.
- Repeat layers until ingredients are used.
- Chill for at least 4 hours.
- Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
