A classic homemade egg nog recipe perfect for the holidays.

- 6 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup bourbon or rum
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs until they are light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the sugar, continuing to beat until well combined.
- Stir in the milk, heavy cream, bourbon or rum, vanilla extract, and nutmeg.
- Mix until smooth and well blended.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Serve in glasses and garnish with additional nutmeg if desired.
