Description
Homemade fresh mint ice cream that is creamy and refreshing.
Ingrédients

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine cream, milk, and sugar.
- Heat over medium until sugar dissolves.
- Add fresh mint leaves and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Strain out mint leaves.
- Add vanilla extract and dark chocolate if desired.
- Chill mixture in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- Churn in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Transfer to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a stronger mint flavor, let the mint steep longer.
- Use fresh mint for the best taste.
- Store ice cream in an airtight container.
