Description

Homemade fresh mint ice cream that is creamy and refreshing.


Ingrédients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine cream, milk, and sugar.
  2. Heat over medium until sugar dissolves.
  3. Add fresh mint leaves and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  5. Strain out mint leaves.
  6. Add vanilla extract and dark chocolate if desired.
  7. Chill mixture in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  8. Churn in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  9. Transfer to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger mint flavor, let the mint steep longer.
  • Use fresh mint for the best taste.
