Ingrédients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup brandy

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix dried fruits, nuts, orange juice, and brandy. Let it soak for an hour.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg; fold into the wet mixture.
  6. Add the soaked fruit mixture and mix thoroughly.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  8. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool before serving.
